Former Ivory Coast star Salomon Kalou has named Nigeria’s Super Eagles as one of the main teams to watch at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. He also believes Victor Osimhen could finish the tournament as the top scorer.

Kalou said Nigeria’s strong attack gives them a real chance of winning the title. He praised Osimhen’s goal-scoring ability and said he is one of the most dangerous strikers in world football. He also highlighted the speed and creativity of Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman.

“Nigeria look very strong this year,” Kalou said. “They have one of the most dangerous strikers in world football in Victor Osimhen leading the line.”

The former Chelsea and Lille forward also spoke highly of Nigeria’s midfield. He pointed out Raphael Onyedika’s strength and defensive work, saying the midfielder adds toughness to the team and could become a leader as the tournament goes on.

Kalou added that the Africa Cup of Nations often helps new players make a name for themselves, and he believes Nigeria have several players who can shine.

When asked who he thinks will win the Golden Boot, Kalou was clear in his choice.

“If I had to pick one player to score the most goals at this tournament, it would be Victor Osimhen,” he said.
