Kun Khalifat FC Reject ‘Amateur’ Tag, Distances Club From Osigwe’s Comments After Abia Warriors Match

Kun Khalifat FC have released an official statement distancing the club from recent comments made by coach Emmanuel Osigwe after the match against Abia Warriors.

In the statement, the club addressed remarks from the coach’s post-match interview in which KKFC players were described as “amateur”. The management made it clear that such comments do not reflect the values, philosophy or standards of Kun Khalifat Football Club.

The club stressed that all KKFC players are professional footballers who have shown skill, dedication and a strong winning mentality in different competitions. It added that every player at the club is on a professional contract and has a proven record of development and success.

Kun Khalifat FC acknowledged that the comments caused hurt and misunderstanding among players and supporters, and apologised for any confusion created. The club firmly rejected the “amateur” label and reaffirmed its full confidence in the quality and professionalism of its players.

The statement also underlined the club’s commitment to excellence, integrity and mutual respect within the team. Management thanked the players for their professionalism and continued dedication despite the controversy.

Looking ahead, Kun Khalifat FC said its focus remains on improvement, unity and creating a positive environment that will help the team achieve success on the pitch. The club encouraged everyone to turn frustration into stronger performances as it continues to build its winning legacy.
