Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) has announced the completion of the sale of its stake in Ecobank Mozambique S.A. to FDH Bank Plc.

The transaction, initially disclosed on August 5, 2025, has now received all necessary regulatory approvals, formally concluding Ecobank’s exit from the Mozambican market.

With the divestment finalized, FDH Bank Plc assumes full ownership and operational responsibility of the institution formerly operated under the Ecobank brand in Mozambique.

Ecobank described the move as part of its strategic decision to streamline operations and strengthen its overall business portfolio across key markets.

The announcement was confirmed in a statement signed by Madibinet Cisse, Company Secretary of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated.
