Rivers United captain, Temple Emekayi, has assured fans that the team is ready to defeat FS Les Aigles in the CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg on Sunday.
The match will take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, with Rivers United needing a win to progress after the first leg ended goalless in Congo.
“All the players are lively and eager. We can’t wait for the match because we are hungry for victory against FS Les Aigles,” Emekayi told the club’s media team.
He also promised that the players would give their best to reward the loyalty of supporters.
“We want the fans to know that we won’t let them down. Their support will motivate us to go all out in the game,” the skipper added.
