Manchester United and Chelsea could compete with Liverpool to land Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi on a free transfer next summer.
The England international was on the verge of joining Arne Slot‘s side from the Eagles last summer, but the deal broke down on deadline day.
The centre-back successfully underwent his medical with the Premier League champions, but Palace vetoed the deal as a replacement was not found.
Guehi has been playing at his best for the south London outfit this campaign, but he is expected to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires next June.
Liverpool have not given up on the 25-year-old, but Caught Offside claim that United and Chelsea are ready to provide stiff competition in the player’s pursuit.
The Eagles have the option of cashing in at the start of the year, but they are determined to keep Guehi so that they can qualify for Europe next campaign.
Palace are presently fifth in the league standings with 26 points.
