Man Utd want to sign Andrey Santos in January

Manchester United are keen on landing Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.

The Red Devils were eager to bolster their midfield department last summer, but they could not find a suitable solution before the deadline.

The club are likely to revive their pursuit in January, and Fichajes report that they are exploring a winter approach for Chelsea’s Santos.

Chelsea have no plans of parting ways with the Brazilian, but it is claimed that a significant transfer bid could persuade them to sell.

The Blues turned down an offer worth £36 million last summer, and are likely to demand more than £60 million to contemplate his exit.

Santos is not pushing for an exit at the moment, but his stance could change in the coming weeks if he struggles for playing time in the XI.

The 21-year-old dreams of playing for Brazil at the World Cup and this could urge him to push for first-team football at another club.
